Definition: Lodha, also known as Macrotech Developers (formerly Lodha Developers), is an Indian global real estate company with its main office in Mumbai. In 1980, Mangal Prabhat Lodha started it.
The Indian company Lodha makes more homes than any other. It has always been on the cutting edge of doing good things for the world and the environment. The prestigious Global Real Estate Benchmark (GRESB) 2023 results, known worldwide, demonstrate how hard everyone worked. This meant it was the best private construction company in Asia. It's also important to know that Lodha has been named a GRESB Global Sector Leader in Residential Development.
Manoj Lodha has been in charge of the Lodha Group since 1980. He works for the government and runs his own business. He is a Legislative Assembly Member.
It was in September 2007 that Deutsche Bank put 205 million rupees (₹1,640 crore) into Cowtown Land Development Limited's compulsorily convertible debentures (CCDs).
The agency let the business bid on and won the right to buy a 22.5-acre plot in Wadala, Mumbai, from them for ₹4,053 crore, which is about US$508 million. This happened in May 2010.
In December 2012, Lodha Group paid ₹341.82 crore, or about US$43 million, for Washington House on Altamont Road. That was when the US government bought it. That changed into Lodha Altamount.
The company has built homes and offices in Mumbai, Thane, Hyderabad, Pune, and London. Famous buildings it has made are Lodha Park, The World Towers, Lodha Altamount, and Trump Tower Mumbai. Palava is an integrated smart city near Mumbai that people also say the company built. The company changed its name to Macrotech Developers on April 19, 2021.
